I don't know why, but this year the valentine's bug has really bit me. Maybe its my days spent with my darling husband that make me want to celebrate being lovey dovey all of a sudden. Who knows, but it is a good excuse to make some cute crafts. Yesterday Karen and I made these great hearts and garland. I just love them. Not too sweet, just sweet enough.
Like everyone else, we've been running around like mad people over the holiday season. I'm hoping this long weekend and being back home will provide me the opportunity to catch up on blogging, including sharing some things I did over the past few months that were christmas surprises and some plans for the new year. Yep, you read that right. I've already got a box or two ready to send out in the mail. Since we decided to do a combination of store bought and homemade gifts, we had to start early. Of course, I can't post too much here in terms of what's being made since it would ruin the surprise. But, unless the cats are regularly reading this blog, I think these pictures are safe to post. I made these just about a week ago. They're stuffed with catnip and hopefully the cats will like them.
I also have started my first quilt, which if its done in time will be another Christmas gift. Here's a sneak peek, which shouldn't give away too much.
And finally, I'm working on some embroidery for a gift. Again, I don't think this picture gives away too much.
