Zach got this pretty tie from Target a couple of weeks ago and it seemed more to me that the tie was really made to be worn by a woman. Today I sported it with a blue shirt, grey pants, grey cardigan and a pair of my new earrings. Oh yeah, if you're going to wear a tie, you also have to learn to tie one. Yep, that's right, I tied that tie and I'm never untying it, ever.
I've really been wanting to buy some new clothes, but I also want to travel, buy a kayak, etc. So, in an effort to save money yet wear what I want, I've undertaken to re-purpose my clothes. I went through my closet tonight armed with some magazines and catalogs that have the clothes I want to buy and created some new options out of my old clothes. I did notice I need a few things, but most of them are minor accessories or replacements for some of my favorites that are worn out.
So, this outfit will be the debut of the repurposed closet. The dress is one I bought for my husband's work holiday party two years ago and haven't worn since. The feather and flower were what I wore in my hair this summer when I got married. The jacket is a thrift store find a month ago and a new favorite. The other stuff are just odds and ends that have been floating around my closet.
Well, I got some new to me clothes at the thrift store and they're a little different from what I'd normally choose to buy. So not exactly a new look today, definitely the makings of a new look, perhaps to debut on Monday at work.
