Happy Colored Egg & Chocolate Bunny Day!

I've decided to shift the format of the blog to mainly tell the story in pictures.  I've been at a loss of things to say lately (hard to believe, but its true).  Also, this change will have an added challenge of taking good/decent pictures that capture my adventures, challenges or the new things I try.  I hope you all like it.  Oh, and if the picture really doesn't tell the story, I may add captions or a bit of narrative, but I'm going to try to avoid that most of the time.

And so as to not bore you with all those details in case you're just not into that kind of stuff, it's all on my sewing blog.  New & challenging things of late (all sewing related, sorry!) - zippers, oil cloth, using my imagination, rolling with the mistakes and sewing with Zach.  Those last two are related, but since what we're working on is a surprise for someone we'll have to tell that story later.

I'm headed on the road for work to Kotzebue and Nome.  I'll be back by the weekend, hopefully not too frozen.  It's still full tilt winter up there with temps dropping below zero overnight.

Like everyone else, we've been running around like mad people over the holiday season.  I'm hoping this long weekend and being back home will provide me the opportunity to catch up on blogging, including sharing some things I did over the past few months that were christmas surprises and some plans for the new year.  Until then, we raise our glass to you and yours and wish you Happy Holidays!

In keeping with the theme of lemons yesterday, I also made lemon ginger marmalade to finish off our Meyer lemons.  Quite tasty this morning on homemade toast (love those lines on the loaf that the proofing basket leaves behind).

In other news, this is my hundredth post on the blog; something I think is an accomplishment in itself, especially since the blog was started on a whim.  A few of the new things I've tried since the start of the blog: bourbon (didn't like), hot pepper flakes (liked), hot toddy with rum (liked), winter biking (totally hooked), hot yoga (the jury's still out, but I've gone about 5 times) and a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie (interesting).   Thanks for reading and I look forward to another 100 posts.
