Update:  Here are some pictures from the trip thanks to the camera card recovery skills of my husband.

I'm in Dutch Harbor/Unalaska for work this week, which generally means lots of time spent inside a room providing information to people.  However, last night my co-worker and I grabbed our cameras and played the tourists.  We took pictures of bald eagles, the old Russian Orthodox church, the mountains, water, etc.  We didn't spot any of the boats from the Deadliest Catch show that is based out of here, but perhaps today or tomorrow.

We then went to Alaska Ship Supply and looked at all the things people need to do commercial fishing and the souvenirs they had for sale.  I found the store fascinating, perhaps because I'm from landlocked Iowa.  I also bought a few souvenirs to take back home. Tonight, another touristy activity, beers at the Elbow Room Bar.

Now, I'd love to share pictures with you, but that will have to wait as I mistakenly thought my camera card would fit into the slot on my computer.  Ok, so it fits, but its actually smaller and now its stuck somewhere inside the computer.  I'll have to pay my computer tech (my husband) a hefty fee, I'm sure, to fix it so I can retrieve the pictures.  Until then, here's a lovely photo I found online of Dutch Harbor, although our weather hasn't been as nice.
