Our friend's birthday was this past weekend and I wanted to do something homemade for a gift.  In looking through my sewing books I ran across a grocery tote, but after going to the fabric store and found this mod floral print, I decided to go with a shoulder bag.

I took the original idea then modified it looking at an over the shoulder bag I got last christmas (thanks, Bradie!) and consulting the instructions for a little tote bag for kids.  As I constructed it, I didn't understand how it all went together so I resorted to a skill I picked up in previous sewing projects, I made it reversible.  I was happy with the end project.  I especially like the "designer" tag I added at the end to cover up a flaw.  I used a stamp that Zach and I picked up Vietnam that has our initials on it (now both my initials).
