We've been remodeling our kitchen now for what seems like forever.  I guess that's what happens when you do it yourself.  A distinct advantage of doing it ourselves is that we save tons of money.  We also get the chance to use what we already have and see if we can't improve upon that before having to buy new.  That's what we did with the under part of our counters that face out into the dining area and our home's front entry.  We used some blue paint we already had and I think it helped to make the bottom look a lot cleaner and not so much like fake wood paneling anymore. I also love the pop of color it adds.  The rest of our kitchen is light blue and off white so this seems dramatic without too much of a commitment (it would be easy to repaint).  The decorative squares on the wall were $1/ 3 pack stickers are the craft store.  Again, another nice little pop of color with minimal commitment.  I have another set in a different color scheme in case I ever want to change them out.

In case you can't tell from the rash of posts today, I'm catching up for not having posted for a good part of October.  I've just been too busy doing which hasn't left a lot of time for blogging.
